St Thomas the Martyr Parish Church lies in the heart of historic Up Holland, a Lancashire village that was mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is a Church of England parish church. Our church building is over 700 years old, having originally been a priory.

WELCOME TO 2012!
We have an action-packed year planned already, starting off on Sunday 8 January with the licensing and installation of the Rev’d Hilary Hanke as Priest-in-Charge (Team Rector Designate) of St Thomas The Martyr (see Notices page for details). We also have our Parish Panto in Feb and many more exciting events planned, so stay tuned!
STOP PRESS - please note that the Parish Away Day,due to take place on Sat 14th January, has been postponed. We shall let you know of the new date as soon as it has been agreed.

EXPLORERS FAMILY COMMUNION SERVICES
Special family services are held on the 4th Sunday of each month, starting at 10am. This is an all-age worship suitable for the whole family where we welcome the Rainbows, Brownies and Little Church with their families and friends.
Next service will be Sunday 22nd January 10am

The church has records that go back centuries, especially relating to those buried in the graveyard and couples married at St Thomas The Martyr.
