THURS 3rd MAY: DEANERY VISITATION
The evening service saw our church packed out to standing room only, with all Churchwardens and Sidespersons from the deanery attending the annual service. It usually takes place in either Rainford or Ormskirk Parish Church, but was held at Up Holland this year....yes, you've guessed it....to celebrate our 700th Anniversary!
It was great to see our very own Archdeacon presiding over events, managing to shake hands and greet every one of the 400 people who were in attendance.

The Ven Peter Bradley greets the churchwardens and sidespersons

"I know my address is called 'The Archdeacon's Charge' but I'm quite willing to do it for free!"

Churchwarden Alan Webster has just folded the 400th service sheet of the evening but he's still smiling....or is it that paper cut causing him grief?!!

SATURDAY 12th MAY: MUSIC FOR A SPRING EVENING
What better alternative was there to staying in and watching the Eurovision Song Contest than heading to St Thomas The Martyr Parish Church and listening to some wonderful live music from Louise Kay and John Walton?!! There was a great attendance and an even better quality of music.
A review will be following very shortly, but in the meantime, here are some shots taken by Mrs Archdeacon on the night....
