MEDIEVAL
FAYRE: 14th JULY 2007 |
||||
| The
days leading up to this year's Medieval Fayre were typical of 2007 - very
wet! However the Benedictine Week, where many of our local schools visit
church to see it as it used to be in its days as a priory, was very successful
thanks to the many volunteers from our congregation who helped make the
visits so special. The usual posse of stall constructors saw some very slights spells of drizzle to start off with, but these soon passed to make way for the blue skies that were seen during the Fayre. It was yet again another wonderful day as you will see from the photos below. |

| This is a wonderful plaque made out of bread, lovingly made and donated by Glover's Bakery of Lancashire. They have supplied us with a superb range of different types of bread for recent Medieval Fayres, for which we are very grateful. Thanks are also due to Roger Rathbone of Rathbone's Bakery, Up Holland for all their support too. | The Venerable Archdeacon of Warrington, also known as our Rector, Peter Bradley, here to be seen doing an accurate impression of a Benedictine Monk. Note the sunshine in the background....a rare sight in the summer of 2007! | |||
