UP HOLLAND PAGEANT: THE PEOPLE
The Civic Guests (from L to R): Maggie Skilling (Chair, Up Holland Parish Council), Rebecca Ashton, Baroness Ashton of Up Holland, Janet Lally (Vice Chair, Up Holland Parish Council), Rosie Cooper MP The other important guests of the day...the people of Up Holland!
The Medical Response Services very kindly provided their services free of charge for the event, following the procession and supporting the festival events. We hope the public filled up their collecting boxes on the way out of the ground! The St Thomas The Martyr Parish Church choir ready for action in the field at the start of the procession
For one moment we actually thought that we had the real Thomas a Becket and King Henry II in our presence at the Pageant. However time travel still is not that reliable and when we looked a little closer we found that it was none other than St Thomas the Martyr's very own Alan 'Becket' Skinner (left) and Graham 'Henry' Walker (right)
The raffle queens (L to R): Edith Berry, Kath McGuire and Anne Hurst "We are only having a minute, honest!"
'Spiderman' Matthew Rooney is reaching for the sky with a little help from his Grandad, Bill Sass. We always knew there were superheroes living in Up Holland! Monks on the loose in Up Holland? It's OK, they were only praying for the rain to keep away!
